Saturday night’s World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series race presented by Ray Varner Ford has been postponed. Unusually cold temperatures have moved across the eastern part of the country and the decision was made to postpone.
“I’ve been watching the weather all week and the high temperture for Tazewell on Saturday is supposed to be 45,” Tazewell Speedway owner Gary Hall said. “It’s supposed to be 37 by 7:00 and get down into the low 20’s overnight. We want our fans to have an enjoyable experience and it will be hard to do that with temperatures that cold for April.”
Officials from the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series and Tazewell Speedway are looking at rescheduling the Ray Varner Ford 50. A new date should be announced within the next few days. Check back for updates as they become available.
The next race for Tazewell Speedway is Saturday, April 23 with a full racing program.
