For the 15th consecutive year, Tazewell Speedway plays host to the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals presented by Ray Varner Ford on Saturday, July 27. The $10,000 to win race will also determine the 2019 series championship.
Brandon Overton, Jake Knowles, and Donald McIntosh are locked into a tight battle heading into the last week of racing for the 11-race tour that stretches over 15 days. Tanner English and Cla Knight are also hoping to get into the title hunt.
Other expected drivers include Vic Hill, Steve Smith, Jeff Wolfenbarger, Dakotah Knuckles, and more.
Also racing on Saturday will be sportsman for $1,000 to win, classic cars for $600 to win, street stocks for $600 to win, and four cylinders for $600 to win.
General admission tickets are $25 for adults with kids 9 and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $40. Pit gates open at 4:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 7:15, Racing will start at 7:45.
