With wet weather and unseasonably cold temperatures out of the way, preparations are being made for Friday’s Spring Nationals race.
Some of the area’s top drivers are expected for the $5,000 to win race. Also racing will be sportsman for $1,000 to win, classic cars for $500 to win, four cylinders $500 to win, and pure streets for $350 to win.
All gates will open at 5:00 with hot laps scheduled for 7:30. General admission tickets are $20 and pit passes are $35.
All media credential requests must be submitted by 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 12 to Michael Moats at mrm4@comcast.net. A valid I.D. is required for anyone with a credential and must be presented at the time of signing in.
Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
