Melvin Corum Memorial set for Saturday, May 18

The 6th annual Melvin Corum Memorial is set for this Saturday, May 18. The $10,000 to win race is sanctioned by Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA. It will the second appearance by the series to Tazewell Speedway.

Many of the region’s top crate late model drivers will be on hand. The program will consist of qualifying, heat races, B-mains, and a 50-lap feature. The first 30 drivers to sign in will receive a $100 Pilot gift card courtesy Secret City Dodge Jeep Ram in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Also racing will be sportsman late models for $800 to win, classic cars and street stocks for $500 to win each.

Pit gates will open at 3:00 and grandstand gates will open at 5:00. The driver’s meeting is scheduled for 6:45 with hot laps beginning at 7:30.

Grandstand tickets are $25 for adults, kids 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $40 for adults.
