Tazewell Speedway hosts Crate Racin’ USA

The final race of the 2023 season takes place Saturday, October 7 as Tazewell Speedway hosts the Crate Racin’ USA series for the richest crate late model race in the track’s history. A $10,000 first place prize will be up for grabs in the Marvin Ford Memorial.

Mark Whitener leads the series standings heading into Saturday’s race. Jake Knowles, Mario Gresham, Jackson Hise, Hunter Peacock, Jason Welshan, and Trynt Lloyd are just some of the drivers looking to take home $10,000. Tazewell regulars such as Josh Collins, Travis Fultz, Jason Trammell, and Aaron Guinn will be joined by a number of drivers from across the area.

***Secret City Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram of Oak Ridge will cover all entry fees for the Crate Racin’ USA drivers competing on Saturday. ***

Also racing will be sportsman late models for $1,000 to win, classic cars and street stocks will race for $600 to win each.

Pit gates will open at 3:00 and grandstand gates will open at 5:00. The drivers meeting is set of 6:00 and hot laps will begin around 6:30.

Tickets are $25 for adults, kids 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $40 for adults, kids 11 and under are $30.
