Tazewell Speedway hosts the 13th annual Buddy Rogers Memorial on Sunday, September 5. This year’s edition pays $10,044 to the winner and is sanctioned by the Valvoline Iron Man Late Model Series.
Jensen Ford is the series points leader heading into the weekend of racing for the Iron Man series. Ford nearly picked up his first Tazewell Speedway super late model win earlier in the season. Michael Chilton, Dakotah Knuckles, Vic Hill, Jason Trammell, and other drivers are expected.
Also racing on Saturday will be sportsman for $800 to win, classic cars for $500 to win, street stocks for $500 to win, and four cylinders for $400 to win.
There will be a fireworks show during intermission for fans young and old.
General admission tickets are $25 for adults with kids 9 and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes are $40 for adults, kids 12 and under are $30. Pit gates open at 3:00 and grandstand gates open at 5:00. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 7:00, racing will start at 7:30.
Fans are welcome to bring in lawn chairs for the turn 4 hillside seating areas. Fans are asked not to use lawn chairs in the grandstand area due to the size of the crowd expected for this event.
There will be no personal ATV vehicles allowed in the pit area which includes 4-wheelers, side-by-sides, and golf carts. No personal vehicles allowed in the pits except for those going to handicap parking.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
