Racing at Tazewell Speedway will start the 2020 race season on Sunday, May 24 with the Melvin Corum Memorial. The $3,000 to win race will be sanctioned by the UCRA series. Some of the area’s best crate late model drivers will tackle the high banks of Tazewell Speedway.
Also racing on Sunday, May 24 will be sportsman, classic, street stocks, and four cylinders. There will also be a fireworks show during intermission.
Grandstand tickets are $15 for adults, kids 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $30 for adults.
Pit gates will open at 4:00 and grandstand gates will open at 5:00. The driver’s meeting is set for 7:00 followed by racing action.
There will be social distancing rules in place for this event. Masks are recommended, but not required. Fans wishing to use a mask may bring their own or buy one at the track for $1.
