was involved in a life-threatening accident at Tazewell Speedway

share the front row of the feature with former Open Wheel Modified
standout Wayne Rader. At the drop of the green Burchett and
Rader raced side by side through the first turns and down the
back stretch. Last week's winner Jordon Horton would spin on
the second lap bringing out the first caution. On the restart
Billy Gordon would get sideways in turn one and collect several
cars, with all of them able to continue. Up front Burchett started
making distance between himself and Rader. On the third lap
Heath Alvey would pass Rader to take over second. By lap nine
Alvey caught up with Burchett and was using the bottom line
to gain an advantage. The caution would fly on lap ten as Horton
crashed into the outside wall in turn four passing for position.
On the restart Josh Chesney slammed the wall in turn four in
a scary crash ending his night. Burchett would lead the remaining
laps and take the checkered yet was disqualified when his car
came up light at the scales . This would give Heath Alvey his
fourth win of the season in the Smoky Mountain Home Health &

row. Knuckles quickly took the lead followed by Brad Davis,
Gary Blanken and Buchanan. On the second lap Davis jumped down
into the bottom groove trying to find a way to get around Knuckles.
Meanwhile Blanken was finding which groove worked best as he
set his sights on the leaders. On lap nine Blanken dove down
low and moved into second. Davis didn't give up easily retaking
the spot back on lap twelve. While battling three-wide with
Davis and Warren McMahan, Blanken would get shuffled back to
the fourth spot on on lap twelve. By lap sixteen he regrouped
and moved back into third. With two laps to go Blanken used
